Of course, the app is pretty much useless for now, but here are some of the details: The app is pretty similar to the SmartGlass version on Xbox 360, which means that you can navigate the console, launch and interact with apps, with the difference that you’ll also get new functionalities specific to Xbox One. For example, the SmartGlass companion app adds the ability to interact with OneGuide, access to Xbox Live activity feed, achievements, pins, messages, and friends from the new menu section on the left side of the screen. Furthermore users will also be able to snap multiple apps and watch Game DVR clips from a Windows Phone. You can download the Xbox One SmartGlass app today, but of course you won’t be able to do much with it until you buy the console in a few days. Another interesting feature included is the option to allow the Windows Phone to stay unlock while using the app — which it seems a nice feature to have –.
