For those unfamiliar, Microsoft uses the year and month of the release to assign the version number of a new feature update for Windows 10. For example, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is known as version 1607, because the intended release date was in July 2016 (though, it actually rolled out in the early days of August). Now that we know that the Windows 10 Creators Update will be known as version 1704, it also means that we can expect Microsoft to make the feature update generally available sometime in April 2017. Windows 10 Creators Update will include a number of features, including built-in support for Windows Holographic to enable virtual reality and mixed reality.
