At glance the Huawei MateBook seems that borrows the design language from Apple’s iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface line. And it’s not a bad design, on the contrary, Huawei has created a very stylish and sleek Windows 10 device.

For tech specs the MateBook features a 12-inch 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution IPC TFT LCD display, powered by Intel’s latest sixth generation Core m-series processors (Core m3 up to m7). There is also the choice of 4GB to 8GB of memory, and internal storage ranges from 128GB, 256GB, to 512GB. At 640 grams and only 6.9mm thin makes the tablet is very slim and lightweight, in fact it’s lighter than an iPad. There are also various sensors including ambient light sensor, fingerprint that allows support for Windows Hello, accelerometer, gyroscope, Hall sensor. The MateBook features a USB Type-C for fast charging, docking, and data transfer. The Huawei Matebook includes a 33.7Wh (4430mAh) battery with up to 9 hours of video playback according to the company. Unfortunately, the keyboard, pen and dock are optional accessories. Customers will have to pay an extra $129 for the keyboard $59 for the stylus, and $89 for the dock.

The MateBook from Huawei will be available in North America, Europe, and Asia later this year in two colors: gold and silver. Pricing starts at $699 for the base model up to $1599 for the Core m7 model. Update, June 23, 2016: Huawei’s MateBook is now available for pre-order, shipping begins on July 11th.
